+ What are tapas?
Tapas are equivalent to “small plates.” While tapas are a traditional Spanish style of eating, we offer a globally inspired menu here at Santiago’s Bodega. Our dishes are meant to be shared and enjoyed amongst the table.
+ Who is Santiago?
Owner Jason Dugan was reading the books “The Old Man and the Sea” by Ernest Hemingway and “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho when he came up with the idea for Santiago’s Bodega; Santiago is the name of a main character in each of these books. Jason decided to open the first location in Key West because that is where Ernest Hemingway once lived.
+ Do you have outside seating?
Yes, we have a covered patio with fans and heaters when necessary. We allow smoking on our patios in a designated section. Dogs are allowed on the patios as long as they are on a leash and well behaved.
+ Do you have a full bar?
Our Altamonte Springs and Orlando locations provide a large selection of beer, wine, and liquor. Santiago’s Bodega Key West serves beer and wine only.
+ Do you have Happy Hour?
Yes! In Key West, Happy Hour is held from 3pm-6pm every day of the week. Happy Hour is every day from 4pm-6pm at our Orlando and Altamonte Springs locations. Altamonte Springs holds a second Happy Hour on Friday and Saturday from 10pm-12am, and Orlando holds a second Happy Hour every night between 11pm-1am.
+ What is offered during Happy Hour?
Happy Hour includes half priced draft beers, wines by the glass, sangria by the glass, and single well liquor drinks. (Santiago’s Bodega Key West is wine and beer only.). We also offer a select $5 Tapa Menu that changes daily.
+ Do we have to make a reservation?
We strongly recommend making reservations, especially for larger groups. However, walk-ins are welcome as long as they can be accommodated at that time.
+ Can we do call ahead seating?
We are happy to take a reservation as close as three hours in advance. Anything less than that will be handled as a walk-in. In other words, no.
+ Do you offer a Kids Menu?
We do not offer a designated kids menu, however, there are items on the regular menu that can be made kid friendly.
+ Who does your artwork?
Robert Henry Thompson is the name of the artist. He does all of the paintings and the interior designing of our restaurants.
+ Do you have TVs in your establishment or host Live Entertainment?
No, our restaurant is set up to breed good conversation and we do not want to distract from that.
+ Do you have WIFI?
Yes, WIFI is available at all of our locations.
+ What are the days/times for brunch?
Brunch is served at our Orlando and Altamonte Springs locations on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-3pm. Due to space restrictions, brunch is not served at Santiago’s Bodega Key West.
+ What is the brunch price and what does it include?
Brunch is priced at $49.95 per adult. Children age 12 and under is $14.95. Brunch includes an endless brunch buffet and bottomless mimosas and sangria for a maximum of 2 hours. (Remember, Santiago’s Bodega Key West does not serve brunch – join us for a glass of our amazing sangria anyway!)
+ Does the price of brunch change if someone is pregnant, underage, or does not drink?
Unfortunately, no. The value of our brunch is based on our food. We offer many non-alcoholic drinks with the brunch price like juice, soda, tea, and coffee. (Remember, Santiago’s Bodega Key West does not serve brunch – consider joining us for lunch instead!)
+ Are there other breakfast items besides the brunch buffet?
On Saturdays and Sundays during brunch you can order a select few brunch items a la carte. We do not offer the regular tapas menu during brunch. (Remember, Santiago’s Bodega Key West does not serve brunch – sleep in and join us for lunch instead!)
+ Do we have a corkage fee?
Yes, $20 per bottle.
+ Do you offer TOGO items?
Yes, although occasionally we are not able to accommodate TOGO orders when our restaurant is full and our kitchen is busy with dine-in guests. There are a few items we do not offer TOGO. Those items include the Beef Carpaccio, Saganaki, and the French Onion Soup.
+ Do you have a private party room for large parties?
We do not have a private room, but we do have areas that can accommodate larger parties. Please call your desired location directly and speak with a Large Party Coordinator who can best address your needs.
+ Do you do anything special for birthdays?
We love to celebrate! We are happy to put a candle on any dessert you order off our menu, or one that you bring in yourself.
+ Do your gift cards work at all locations?
Yes, Santiago’s Bodega gift cards are redeemable at all locations.
+ What is "Top Tapa?"
Top Tapa is our annual employee of the year award, presented annually during our Winter Party. Top Tapas are team members who routinely go above and beyond, and who embody the spirit of the Bodega. Top Tapas always have a smile on their face, and help to make Santiago’s Bodega a better place. We award two Top Tapas at each location.
